Toledo will hold its annual downtown Memorial Day Parade Saturday at 10 a.m.
The parade will start at Summit and Monroe, head north on Summit to Jackson, then west on Jackson and finish at the Civic Center Mall.
That is where it will conclude with local leaders honoring fallen soldiers and veterans.
Maumee is hosting a parade on May 31, 2010. The parade begins at 9:30 at Maumee United Methodist Church.
Perrysburg will have a Memorial Day Commemoration at Fort Meigs State Memorial on May 31. War of 1812 soldiers and civilians reenact camp life throughout the day. A special wreath laying ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. at the Fort Meigs Monument.
Perrysburg will have its Memorial Day Parade and services on May 31. Parade participants will assemble at 9 a.m. The selected parade route is Louisiana Ave to with a brief stop at Hood Park for the laying of a wreath at the War Memorial. The parade then continues to SR 25 and on to the cemetery for the Memorial Day services. The speaker at the cemetery will be Ohio Representative Randy Gardner.
The Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo will be placing close to 6,000 American Flags on veteran's graves Friday and Saturday (May 29 and 30th) to honor the veterans' service to the country. This is a continuing tradition which spans over 80 years. On May 31, a ceremony will be conducted at 10 a.m. to remember veterans and former Toledo newscaster will speak on the Honor Flights Program.
In Oregon, the Harbor View Yacht Club will celebrate the annual Blessing of the Fleet and Memorial Day on May 31 at noon.
The City of Sylvania will be holding its annual Memorial Day Parade on May 31, 2010 between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. (From Press release).
A brief service will be held at Toledo Memorial Park at 6832 Monroe Street, beginning at 9 a.m. The annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at Lourdes College at 10 a.m. and will proceed up Convent Blvd. to Main St. continuing north to Erie St. and ending at Veterans Memorial Field, according to Sylvania's website.
Bowling Green is having its Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 31st. The parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and will travel North on Main Street and will end at Oak Grove Cemetery. There will be a 5 minute stop at the Wood County Courthouse to lay wreaths at the memorials.
Clyde will have a Memorial Day Parade on May 31. The parade steps off at 10 a.m. north on Main Street to St. Mary's Cemetery. Then, the parade heads to McPherson cemetery for the ceremony.
City of Sandusky plans on Memorial Day Ceremony on May 30 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Veteran's Park. On May 31, the city will have its parade, starting from Ohio Veterans Home and ending at Oakland Cemetery. The parade begins at 9a.m. and ends at 10a.m.
Findlay will have its annual Memorial Day parade at 10:00am on May 31 in downtown Findlay.
Monroe indicates that it will have a parade on May 31st in downtown Monroe. No further information could be found.
Rossford is having a parade on Sunday at 1:30 p.m. American Legion Post 533 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6409 will step off at the corner of Superior and Elm streets. The parade will travel west on Superior to Eagle Point Road, along Hannum Avenue and end at Veterans Memorial Park.
