HAMILTON COUNTY, OH (WTOL) - Hamilton County police say 6-year-old Sierra Holley was abducted from her elementary school by her mother who did not have custody.
The girl's stepfather has had legal guardianship for the past five years, but there has been an ongoing custody battle, according to police.
"There was a teacher, and I guess there was some subterfuge used on the part of the mother, saying, 'Hey, I need to take her to the office to speak with the father,'" said North College Hill Police Sergeant John Ferguson.
The mother lives in Alabama, which is where police believe the two are headed.
