COLUMBUS, OH (AP) -- Sheriff's hope the public can help track down sex offenders who haven't registered with their offices as required by law by using a search feature on the attorney general's Web site.
The site has a "most wanted" link of offenders who have committed crimes against children and have arrest warrants outstanding against them. Currently, five names are on the list.
Petro says he defines most wanted as the worst of the worst.
The site also allows the public to enter a name and find out if it matches any of more than 13,000 adult sex offenders currently in the statewide registry. It also includes a list of all offenders who have failed to register with the county in which they live. Photos of most of the offenders are included.
