The Explorer slid on ice, actually sliding across the top of the guard rail, plummeting to railroad tracks below.
A car crash in Sylvania killed two people, but police say the wreck was not discovered until nearly 24 hours after it happened.
The mangled wreck of a Ford Explorer was found under an overpass on US-23 just south of Holland-Sylvania Road.
Heather Richie, 26, and her boyfriend Joseph Lee Bekker, also 26 were killed in the crash.
Police say they were heading toward their apartment in Perrysburg from Hastings, Michigan when their SUV hit black ice, slid across the top of a guardrail and fell off of the US-23 overpass, plummeting onto railroad tracks below.
Police believe the accident happened on Sunday afternoon around 3 p.m. It was discovered Monday by a group of teens walking along the tracks.
A man living nearby believes he heard the crash, but no one called police.
