EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio (AP) - Just before 7 p.m. Wednesday evening, a Cleveland Clinic spokeswoman reported that Democratic Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones has died.

Cleveland, OH -Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones has reportedly had a massive aneurysm and remains on life support Wednesday morning at Huron Road Hospital.
WOIO has confirmed that Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-OH-11) was admitted to Huron Hospital in East Cleveland after being found unconscious behind the wheel of her car. A spokesperson for Huron Hospital said that Tubbs Jones was admitted to the hospital however her family doesn't want any information released about her condition.
Around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night a Cleveland Heights Police Officer noticed a car traveling at a high rate of speed down Lee Boulevard near Mayfield Road in their city. An officer tried to pull her over but when she did come to a stop in a grassy area police found her unconscious behind the wheel of her car. Cleveland Heights Fire Department transported her to Huron Hospital. At this time police believe she was suffering from a medical condition. The crash is still under investigation.
Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones is the first African-American woman elected to the United States House of Representatives from Ohio.
Currently in her fifth term in office, she represents the 11th District, which encompasses most of the East Side of Cleveland and parts of the West Side of Cleveland and includes parts of 22 suburbs.
