Top graduating seniors from more than 120 area high schools will gather Monday, May 16, 2011 at Imagination Station to be honored as "The Best of the Class." It is our pleasure to invite you to attend.
During the event, you'll join us for a special luncheon with Chrys Peterson and Jerry Anderson, and we'll take your picture for Best of the Class video announcements that will air on WTOL. In addition, your photo will be posted on our Best of the Class web site on WTOL.com and be sent to your local newspaper.
Here's what you need to do before the event to participate:
STEP 1. The school selects the top student to participate. "The Best of the Class" celebration is for the graduating senior from each high school with the highest G.P.A. If your school has more than one valedictorian, all can participate.
STEP 2: The student determines if you are in Group 1 or Group 2. Click on the group to find your school. Group 1 is schools beginning with A-N. Group 2 is schools beginning with O-W. The arrival time and schedule of events for each group is listed in the next section.
STEP 3. The student fills out the student information form online.
STEP 4: The student prints out and mails the release form by May 5 to allow photo and video from the day to be used on air and online. The student signs it. If the student is under 18 years old by May 16, a parent or guardian must also sign it. Mail this form no later than May 5 to:

STEP 5: When steps 1-4 are done, the student sends an email to the coordinator. Just put your name and school and say the four steps were completed.
Here's what to bring to the event
Bring your graduation cap and gown. If your school doesn't use them, wear graduation appropriate clothing.
The Day of the Event
The event takes place at Imagination Station located at One Discovery Way on the waterfront in downtown Toledo. The event takes place rain or shine. Here are directions to Imagination Station.
Group 1 should arrive at Imagination Station at 10:30 a.m. and will be done by 12:45 p.m.
Group 2 should arrive at Imagination Station at 11:30 a.m. and will be done by 2:30 p.m.

Other notes
- There is no make-up time or date for photos. Students are invited to this event and choose to attend or not.
- Let your school know that you will be absent that day.
- If you are driven to the event, you should get dropped off and picked up. The luncheon has limited seating.
- There will likely be some down time as all photos are taken.
