SYLVANIA, OH (WTOL) – It has been a busy week at local colleges and universities as students begin moving into campus housing.

However, it will be the first time students at Lourdes College in Sylvania will be able to live on campus.

Lourdes Commons, the school's new apartment complex, has units that are completely furnished.

In fact, the complex also has a community room where students can use computers.

For some of the nearly 100 students moving into Lourdes Commons, this will be their first time away from home.

"My first time in college so I really don't know what to expect," said student Jerome Talton.  "I'm just here to have a good time and learn."

"I'm excited.  I've never lived on my own before," said student Gina Black. "So, this is the first time living on my own [and] having my own personal space."

Lourdes will now also offer 24/7 security because of the student housing.
