WTOL Vice President and General Manager Bob Chirdon
This week more than 2,000 people showed up at the WTOL 11/The Blade Career Camp. They wanted a job.
As I walked around the SeaGate Centre, I saw people of all ages, ethnicities and experience levels. They were alert, engaged and anxious to get help. They were doing something about their situation. They just need a hand up.
So now we move on to the WTOL 11/The Blade Job Fair. We have teamed up with the Lucas County Commissioners to bring more than 100 employers, colleges, and counselors to the Lucas County Rec Center on May 1.
We are doing everything we can to put Northwest Ohio back to work, because, right now, right here in our community, it's all about jobs.
We get it. Hopefully, on May 1 the WTOL 11/ The Blade Job Fair will help get some of you back to work.
