Give Autism the Boot! is a WTOL CommunityTrack11 event that is supported by Hollywood Casinos and Huntington Bank.
TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - The annual Give Autism the Boot! fundraising campaign kicked off Friday and Saturday, June 25 and 26.
Volunteers, including Toledo's emergency personnel, collected donations at many locations around town including Good Neighbor Pharmacies, Kroger stores and Levis Commons.
Collection times on Saturday are from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Sunday, you can donate from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
In June of 2006, the Give Autism the Boot! event was developed and executed by The Great Lakes Center for Autism.
The event's primary focus is to place local rescue workers, along with civilian volunteers, in high traffic stores and strategically located intersections to collect donations.
This WTOL sponsored event has helped raise more than $300,000 thanks to your donations.
Remember, all money raised goes to help fund autism programs in northwest Ohio.
