WTOL Vice President and General Manager Bob ChirdonCongressman Bob Latta deserves a special mention. He spearheaded the effort to bring $10 million to research why children are getting cancer.
This is particularly meaningful to the community of Clyde. Kids in Clyde have been getting cancer in alarming numbers -- and we don't know why.
After 2 years of covering this story, the Clyde Cancer Cluster is finally getting the attention it deserves. Congressman Latta heard the parents' desperate plea for help and delivered on behalf of the children of Clyde and every other child who has been stricken with cancer.
Since all of those kids, and all of those parents can't be here to do so, I will say it: Thank you Mr. Latta.
