(WTOL) - Filmmaker Jason Hamilton is pretty pleased that his film The Toledo Conspiracy is getting some attention. He finished and released the film 10 years ago.
"We put together all the music, all the actors, all the locations, equipment, crew, everything was from here," Hamilton says, adding that he didn't really expect to do anything with it again. "It was about '98, '99 and it got released for about a minute and then it kinda fell by the wayside."
Thanks to the internet, Hamilton's movie is almost like a new release. He hooked up with IndieFlix, which "decided to put it out and it surprisingly was a top seller for like a few weeks, and we got some, kind of, you know, interest in it."
And, with the new success, Hamilton is hoping The Toledo Conspiracy will serve as an example of what a little hard work, and a little luck, can do.
"There's a lot of inspiration, and there's a lot of talent and a lot of things to be done right here without being, kind of, so aggressively anti-Toledo and the way things go," Hamilton says.
