'After the storm' fundraising events by northwest Ohioans

Get community-wide aid information such as volunteer centers and Red Cross donation centers.

Toledo

WTOL is teaming up with the American Red Cross of Greater Toledo for a 'Road to Rebuilding' fundraiser on Wednesday, June 9. We'll be broadcasting from the Red Cross starting at 5 a.m. and will be there until 6:30 p.m. Cash donations can be dropped off all day. The Red Cross is located at 3100 West Central Ave. near Secor.

June 9 - "Andrew Z's Restaurant & Retailers Relief" fundraising event taking place all day Thursday. Area restaurants and retailers are being asked to donate 15 percent of their total sales for the day to the American Red Cross.

June 25 - Comedy for a Cause on Friday, June 25 at Connxtions Comedy Club located at 5319 Heatherdowns Blvd. in Toledo. The doors open at 6 p.m., and the show will start at 8:00 p.m. A cash bar and menu will be available. Tickets are $15 and can be purchased at www.LakeTornadoRelief.com or by email at LakeTornadoRelief@gmail.com.

Defiance

June 9-  Rick Small host of the Wake Up show on Mix 98.1 and Josh Busch host of Breakfast with the Bull 105.7 will be live from downtown Defiance broadcasting from 6-9a.m. They'll be accepting  monetary donations to aid the tornado relief efforts in Fulton and Wood counties. 

Gonoa

June 12 - Ray's Café in downtown Genoa on Saturday from noon-8 p.m. with a chicken dinner for $8. Also can drive-thru or pickup. You can call ahead at 419-855-2233.

An account at Genoa Bank is set up under "Ottawa County Residents Tornado Relief Fund." Money will go exclusively to Genoa residents.

Rossford

June 13 - A Spaghetti dinner is being held to benefit families who lost their homes in the June 5 and 6 tornadoes. It is June 13 from 3-8 p.m. Cost id $5 per person. It's taking place at the Rossford High School cafeteria located at 701 Superior St.
