TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Fire investigators are considering the fire that took place in central Toledo overnight an arson.
It happened shortly after midnight in the 2700 block of Albion, just south of Central Avenue.
Fire crews found a lighter and evidence of a gasoline trail throughout the house.
Although the blaze caused a lot of smoke damage, most of the fire was quickly snuffed out because of a lack of oxygen.
None of the neighbors say they saw or heard anything unusual prior to the blaze.
And a south Toledo man escaped an early morning blaze at his home.
Firefighters were quick to get the fire under control on the 3700 block of Frampton near Byrne and Detroit. The man who got out was not hurt.
A neighboring home was also damaged in the blaze.
Crews are still looking for a cause.
