Fire at defunct Toledo rubber factory called suspicious - ToledoNewsNow.com: News, Weather & Sports for Toledo, OH

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - A fire at the building that used to house Plabell Rubber Products in the 300 block of South St. Claire is being called suspicious.

The downtown blaze, near the main post office, broke out early Tuesday and became a two-alarm fire.

Flames burned through the roof and destroyed a large part of the building, which has been vacant several years.

There are reports of some suspicious activity just prior to the fire, which investigators are looking into.
