TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Plans for the rebuilding of Lake High School were announced today.

The school will feature a large natural light hallway, a collegiate style gym, and classrooms organized by subject.

Officials have asked builders to have the school finished in time for the 2012 school year.

Although this is a faster than normal turn around for a project this size, workers plan to use a construction process called "bridging design build", which means Rudolph/Libby will begin construction with only about sixty percent of the design completed.

The building will cost more than $25 million, money that came from insurance and a grant the district won in the "Kohl's Cares" contest.  No taxpayer money will be used in the project.

The district has been holding high school classes at Owens community college after the June 5 tornado, which killed six people and destroyed the school.
