Does It Work: Nail Polish Strips and Miracle Nail Growth

(WTOL) - Two products that could save you a trip to the nail salon are the focus of a Does It Work test.

Sally Hansen's Dry Nail Polish Strips promise salon-perfect nails with the swipe of dry nail polish.

Denise Kinder says she really likes nail polish, but that her nails usually chip after a day or two. Also, she hates reapplying nail polish after it seems like she just brushed it on.

The strips go on like stickers, with no drying time, but Kinder found that the polish did come off on a bit of her nail.

"So far so good. They went on fairly easy. I'd feel better if there was a clear coat protector to go over the top," said Kinder.

In fact, Kinder wore the dry nail polish for more than a week, which is a lot longer than regular nail color.

Sally Hansen's Miracle Nail Growth promises instant nail growth which apparently has an ingredient claims to make nails grow up to "30 percent longer in just five days."

Lauren Keith gave this product a try, but after five-days a few of Keith's nails actually broke. One of which broke well past the tip, which was quite painful.

Sally Hansen's Salon Effects do give you a perfectly polished look, but just take some getting used to when you first apply.

As a result, Kinder gave Sally Hansen's Dry Nail Polish Strips' a B.

Lauren Keith gave Sally Hansen's Miracle Nail Growth a C-.

Both products were purchased at Walmart and range in price between $8 and $10.
