TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - A crowd of 13,000 fans headed downtown for the Mud Hens double-header home opener.
The Hens lost both games in the double header, the first by a score of 1-0 and the second by a score of 7-3.
Highlights of the night included Grady Sizemore, the Indians' center fielder. He's been out almost a year from knee surgery and is working his way back to Cleveland on rehab assignments.
Rising star Andy Dirks was also a highlight. He was one of the final cuts at spring training with the Tigers.
Mud Hens Manager Phil Nevin got himself tossed before the night was over.
It was the 10th home opener at Fifth Third Field.
