DETROIT (AP) - A suburban Detroit man who killed an unarmed woman on his porch is being sued by her parents for more than $10 million. The lawsuit against Theodore Wafer was filed 12 days after a jury convicted him of second-degree murder in the death of Renisha McBride. The 19-year-old was shot in the face in Dearborn Heights. The 55-year-old Wafer says he acted in self-defense after hearing pounding at his doors last Nov. 2, but the jury found deadly force was unreasonable.

The Huron County sheriff's department says the crash happened about 3:15 p.m. Monday in Sheridan Township, south of Bad Axe. The crash killed 42-year-old Marie Wolschlager and 20-year-old Bryan Bevier. Both lived in the Bad Axe area.

MONROE, Mich. (AP) - Monroe County prosecutors say they've received a sheriff's department report about a woman found a day after she was reported missing and could decide this week whether to file charges. The report details the case of an 18-year-old woman who authorities say claimed she was abducted August 7th in Bedford Township. Police in Ecorse have said she lied about being abducted and want Wayne County prosecutors to charge her.
