AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) - Kevin Love had 26 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 121-94 rout of the Detroit Pistons last night. Brandon Jennings had 20 points for Detroit, but Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond were held to a combined total of 18 points and 10 rebounds.
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) - Brad Boyes scored the winning goal in a shootout to lift the Florida Panthers over the Detroit Red Wings 3-2 last night. Tomas Tatar scored for Detroit in the shootout but Tim Thomas stopped shots by Daniel Alfredsson and Gustav Nyquist. Pavel Datsyuk and Todd Bertuzzi scored for the Red Wings. Jimmy Howard made 25 saves and Johan Franzen had two assists.
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) - Evan Gordon scored a season-high 26 points and had the crowd chanting his name in Indiana's 81-54 rout of Oakland last night. Oakland (2-8) lost its 11th straight away from home. The Golden Grizzlies started 0-7 against a difficult schedule that included North Carolina, UCLA, California and Gonzaga. It won't get easier. They next face No. 5 Michigan State on Saturday.
YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) - Ray Lee scored 17 points to help Eastern Michigan snap a three-game losing streak with a 67-58 victory over Green Bay last night. Lee was 5 of 9 from the field, including two 3-pointers for the Eagles (5-3). Eastern Michigan shot 43.9 percent from the field and had six fewer turnovers than Green Bay's 18.
