TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - Crews responded to two more fires early Friday.
The first was at Hoag and Lucas. It was a vacant house. Firefighters say the blaze spread to a neighboring house, which sustained some damage.
The second fire was at a vacant house in the 1200 block of Navarre. This fire also spread to neighboring properties. Crews say two garages are destroyed and a third is damaged because the siding melted. Two houses are also damaged. The neighboring home that caught fire was occupied, but the man was able to escape uninjured. He says he's furious, however, that his car was destroyed in the garage fire.
The Navarre fire is also being called suspicious and is just blocks away from the suspected arson on Forsythe Thursday morning that caused damage to at least two other homes on the block.
There were power outages in the neighborhood on Navarre due to power lines down in an alley. One neighbor even said she couldn't call 911 when she noticed the fire because of those downed lines. She ended up running across the street to a 7-11 store to call.
