SANDUSKY, OH (WTOL) - Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper Eric Wlodarsky has resigned following drunk driving and weapons charges from a crash in late October.

The Sandusky Register reports he resigned on Friday, Nov. 11.

Wlodarsky crashed his truck the weekend before Halloween. Investigators say he had a blood alcohol level of 1.3 when he crashed into a tree while off duty.

The charges he faces include driving while intoxicated, failure to control and having a weapon while intoxicated.

He is the same trooper who was disciplined in 2008 for taking a photo of a fellow trooper dressed in a makeshift Ku Klux Klan outfit while on duty. Wlodarsky was fired over the incident but was reinstated after union arbitration, according to the Register.
