OREGON, OH (WTOL) – For some shoppers, Black Friday deals were good enough to fight over. Reports have been given in several locations about fights and general problems.
Oregon Police were called to the Walmart on Navarre Avenue Friday morning three separate times. Police said customers were fighting over sale items.
At the Westfield Franklin Park Mall, witnesses said Victoria's Secret was packed and briefly got hectic.
Sgt. Joe Heffernan of the Toledo Police Department said, "It was crazy. The only thing that was really crazy was Victoria's Secret because everyone wants what they have so. Yeah, I saw people get trampled. Anytime you get that many people in one spot, especially if they're trying to compete, as far as getting items, sometimes tempers can flare."
Police advised that if someone feels uncomfortable in a situation, no matter how good the sale is, to back away.
