
TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) - A fire broke out at a vacant duplex in South Toledo at approximately 3:20 a.m. Monday morning.
The duplex was located in the 100 block of Corinth near Western. The duplex had been empty for three years.
Firefighters were unable to save the structure and plan to level the remains as soon as it is safe.
This is the second fire on the street and police are calling this fire suspicious.
Neighbors told fire investigators they heard popping noises and what may have been a small explosion before the fire started. They also report seeing people running away out of the duplex just as the fire started.
