(WTOL) – Now that all of the presents are unwrapped, people may be left with a gift pile that is less than attractive. Here are some tips on what to do with unwanted gifts.
First, try to swap or sell unwanted merchandise. Check out Plastic Jungle to exchange gift cards. Trade video games and movies at Goozex. Sell unwanted clothes at Recycle Your Fashions.
Next, consider donating gifts. Check out local charities at Give or your local Goodwill store.
Finally, practice safe regifting. It is becoming less and less gauche. In fact, nearly 60 percent of people have regifted or plan on regifting in the future. That is a 7 percent increase from 2005.
Do avoid regifting items that are a dead giveaway, such as candles, random books and CDs, old bath products and pens.
