Teenager dies after accident in Putnam County

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) -The body of a teenager girl has been recovered after a deadly accident in Putnam County.

Sheriff's Deputies say Brianna Coon, 17, of Rockford, was driving on County Road P just north of Ottoville on Saturday just after 11 p.m. when she lost control of her vehicle, slid off the left side of the road and into a pond.

The Van Wert County 911 center was able to intercept Coon's 911 call and trace the location of her phone.

Putnam Co. Sheriff's Dive Team responded and was able to locate Coon inside the vehicle.

The exact cause of Coon's death is still under investigation.
