Central Catholic senior fights illness, becomes tennis champ

TOLEDO, OH (WTOL) – Central Catholic senior Lexi Brown has proven to be a champion both on and off the tennis court.

The 17 year old suffers from Crohn's Disease, an auto immune disease of the intestinal tract.

Last July, doctors told Brown that she would need surgery, which would put her entire season in jeopardy.

Brown quickly regained her strength, and ended up having a successful season.
