WHITEHOUSE, OH (WTOL) – Whitehouse leaders have contacted a group in Perrysburg to create a "master parks plan" to attract residents to the village's one large and four small parks.
Officials want to make the parks more cohesive and user-friendly, saying they are not utilized as much as they could be.
While many people walk, run or bike through Whitehouse on the Wabash Cannonball Trail, but few stick around.
The village has already had one community meeting to talk about what they want for the plan.
"It's hard to plan for the future when you don't have a plan, and if we get that in place, then we can look at different ways of funding it with community projects, grants." said Steve Pilcher, Whitehouse Director of Public Service.
Village will hold another community meeting once they get the consulting group's plan back. That should take place in late February or early March.
