TOLEDO, OH (EDITORIAL) - If you live in the re-designed 9th Congressional District, then you'll definitely want to watch WTOL 11 next Monday at 6 p.m. Along with The Blade, we will televise the first local debate of Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur and Congressman Dennis Kucinich.
This race is unusual since it pits 2 long term incumbents vying for their Party's nod. Each has a conspicuous Congressional voting record to tout or to defend. The race appears to be growing more contentious. The early spirit of Congressional brotherhood is being replaced by some pointed comments and testy responses.
In addition, a Northeast Ohio businessman, Graham Veysey, is also in the running and his contributions are sure to keep things lively.
So tune in to WTOL 11 at 6 p.m. next Monday. You might get a better idea about which candidate deserves your vote.
