
TIFFIN, OH (WTOL) - Local members of the Amateur Radio Emergency Services (ARES) are gearing up for what could be an active storm season. The group Skywarn is offering free storm spotter training in Tiffin. It's sponsored by the National Weather Service.
Current Skywarn members will refresh their skills while new people interested in storm spotting are also welcome.
The only requirement is to register about a half hour before the class starts.
The following Skywarn Training Classes are being offered in Northwest Ohio:
March 1 at 6:30 P.M., Sentinel Vocational Center, Tiffin, Ohio;
March 13 at 6:30 P.M., Central Joint Fire Station, Wood County;
March 14 at 6:30 P.M., Castaway Bay, Cleveland Road, Sandusky;
March 24 at 10 A.M., St. Lukes Hospital, Maumee;
March 26 at 6:30 P.M., Willard High School, Willard, Ohio;
April 2 at 6:30 P.M., Whirlpool Conference Center, Findlay
April 24 at 6:30 P.M., Jobs and Family Services Building, Fremont.
