ROSSFORD, OH (WTOL) – The Rossford City Council has added $50,000 for road repairs after members say they need improvements.
The city council says the need for fixing and repaving residential streets is "pressing."
The money comes from the unappropriated balance of city funds.
Members say it is not enough to do everything they would like, but it is enough to fix up a quarter mile of road, and that makes a big difference.
City Administrator Edward Ciecka says it is an indication of how Rossford is doing:
"It's a good thing. it means that the economy is moving and that we're not having to defer maintenance on streets as long as we have had in the past."
The city council has not decided where they will do the road repairs, and project the decision to be made in the next few months.
