BOWLING GREEN, OH (WTOL) - The families of Kayla Somoles and Angelica Mormile, who survived a March 2 wrong-way crash, have provided an update on the two young women to their university.
Bowling Green State University (BGSU), where the women attend, provided the updates to the public on the students' recovery progress.
From Kayla's family:
"Kayla was released from Mercy St. Vincent Hospital in Toledo Monday. She was transferred to a rehabilitation hospital in Sylvania. She is making amazing progress, and her attitude has been positive. She is really looking forward to getting back to BGSU as soon as possible."
From Angelica's family:
"For the rest of the students at BGSU, Angelica's condition is improving each day. She was transferred back to the Cleveland area so she could receive medical care and be closer to home. Please continue to pray for Angelica, so she can return to her BGSU family."
The crash took the lives of three other Alpha Xi Delta members at BGSU.
