First Solar closing European plant, mfg. lines - ToledoNewsNow.com: News, Weather & Sports for Toledo, OH

(WTOL) - American solar panel manufacturer First Solar announced Tuesday that it's closing the German photovoltaic module factory, Forbes reports.

Additionally, the company would idle 24 production lines in Malaysia, according to Forbes.

First Solar is based in Tempe, AZ and has manufacturing facilities in Perrysburg, OH; Frankfurt (Oder), Germany; and Kulim, Malaysia. Wikipedia reports the company is in the process of building an additional manufacturing facility in Arizona.
