
NEW YORK (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Detroit Tigers outfielder Delmon Young was arrested in New York City early Friday while in town to play the Yankees, the New York Post reports.
He allegedly pushed down a man in front of a hotel around 2:40 a.m. The post reports he was highly intoxicated at the time and that he was charged with third-degree assault.
There is no word yet on whether Young is still in custody nor what his status is for Friday night's game. The Tigers are scheduled to open a three-game series against New York.
