Five new pigs from this summer's Big Pig Gig will be on display at the Taste of Cincinnati this weekend. The pigs were installed Thursday on the corner of Fifth & Vine Streets.
The pigs, which have been adopted by local companies, non-profits, and schools, will be on view in a Pig Pen on Fountain Square. Ten of the Pigs made their debut during the Flying Pig Marathon Weekend from May 4-6.
Those pigs and many more will come out of hiding in mid-June, when the Big Pig Gig: Do-Re-Wee, featuring 100 adopted and decorated Pigs, returns to the Downtown streets beginning in mid June. They will be on view through September 16, 2012, to celebrate the World Choir Games.
The Big Pig Gig is an arts project and fundraiser for ArtWorks, a non-profit that connects artists of all ages with opportunities in the arts through apprenticeships, community partnerships, and public art.
