WILLIAMS COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) – Police say Zao Burrell, a murder suspect in a homicide in Steuben County, IN, was captured in Fort Wayne, IN Monday.

A search had been underway in Williams County, Ohio Sunday after Burrell fled police.

When officers arrived at the scene of the homicide in Steuben County Sunday, a pursuit began between police and three people in a vehicle, one of whom was Burrell. Shots were fired during the chase, but no one was injured.

The vehicle was stopped in Williams County, but Burrell exited the vehicle and fled into a nearby wooded area.   Two people were taken into custody, including Burrell's father.

Burrell has run from authorities in the past. In June 2011, he was wanted on a federal arrest warrant charging him for being a felon in possession of a firearm. He was in hiding from the Steuben County Sheriff's Department for more than a week. A grand jury indicted Burrell in July of that year.
