PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) – Kiki Lorann, the Perrysburg mother accused of stealing nearly $100,000 from student organizations, pleaded not guilty to three felony charges Tuesday.
Lorann pled not guilty to one count of theft and two counts of grand theft, all felonies.
Police say Lorann took $48,727.73 from the Perrysburg Elementary Parents Association, $43,792.67 from the Toth Parent Club and $3,067.21 from the "Perrysburg Sting" traveling baseball team.
According to the Assistant Wood County Prosecutor working the case, more charges could be filed against Lorann soon.
The prosecutor says further investigation indicates Lorann may have actually stolen upwards of $140,000. The prosecutor would not say if more student organizations were involved, or if the money was taken from those already included in the indictment.
Lorann has a $15,000 bond. She is also ordered to have no contact with any of the organizations involved in the case.
The assistant prosecutor said he has received reports that Lorann has been trying to convince volunteers of her innocence.
Lorann is due back in court for a pretrial hearing July 31 at 11 a.m.
