OREGON,OH (Toledo News Now) – Students in the Oregon City Schools now have a new option to report bullying. The district recently launched a website that allows students and parents to anonymously submit tips about bullying to school administrators and the districts School Resource Officer.

"It gives a little bit more opportunity to be open at an early age about something that might be going on because bullying can affect a student for such an extensive period of time. It affects their decision making process, self esteem, and how they approach any kind of goals that they want to accomplish. This helps to provide some intervention," said Oregon School Board President Diana Gadus.

In addition to the new site, district leaders say they're taking a proactive approach to bullying prevention.  Next March representatives of a national movement and campaign against bullying will visit schools in the district to talk to students.
