Four fire departments were called to help contain the fire.ROSSFORD, OH (Toledo News Now) - A Rossford mother and her children came home to find their house damaged by a fire early Wednesday afternoon.
The call came in from a neighbor on Bergin Street, who saw smoke pouring from the house just before noon.
Fire crews said it seemed the flames started in a bedroom, where they removed a charred mattress. The flames did not spread much, but the smoke did. There is no estimate on the extent of damage.
A total of four local fire departments, including Northwood and Perrysburg, were called to the scene to help contain the fire.
The family's dogs were rescued and are doing fine.
