COLUMBUS, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Details are emerging of exactly why a linebacker from Ohio State was dismissed from the team over the weekend.
The Columbus Dispatch reports Storm Klein's dismissal came after charges over an altercation with an ex-girlfriend who is also the mother of his child. According to the police report, that altercation allegedly included him throwing her against the front door of his apartment. It caused an abrasion and swelling to her head and scrapes on her arms.
An attorney for Klein told the Dispatch he was trying to get her to leave his apartment and the fight escalated.
Klein was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence and assault.
Coach Urban Meyer dismissed Klein from the team but said in a statement he'd reconsider if the charges change.
