NEY, OH (Toledo News Now) – Residents of the Defiance County village of Ney were asked to conserve water and undergo a boil advisory earlier this week. Both requests have been lifted.
Herb Mack from the village said they blew a gasket and an 8" water main was leaking.
Crews have fixed the leak and tested the water. Test results came back fine.
Residents no longer need to boil their water or limit consumption.
A water emergency was declared at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and was supposed to last until 7:30 p.m. Thursday. During that time, residents were asked to use as little water as possible and boil water used for cooking or drinking.
