TIFFIN, OH (Toledo News Now) – Starting Thursday at noon, an 80 percent scale replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall in Washington D.C. will be on display in Tiffin.
The wall is traveling along with a Vietnam Museum, a Huey Helicopter and other military vehicles.
"Granted this is just an 80% replica, it still has all the names on it. There are over 58,000 names on the Vietnam Wall by itself. A lot of people just start seeing the individual names just panel after panel after panel and it kind of dawns on them that, this way of life we have is not free, there are people who paid for it with their very lives. That's what we're about, is providing honor and showing respect and remembrance to those who have given their lives, given the ultimate sacrifice to protect and defend this way of life that we know and we love," said John Barron of the American Veterans Traveling Tribute.
The wall's visit is sponsored by the Seneca County Veterans and will be on display at Carmie's Grill and Bar on State Route 231 in Tiffin.
