TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - The second suspect in a Perrysburg Township murder from over the weekend has been picked up by authorities.
The attorney for Jose Moya said he had been working with Moya's mother to arrange for Raul Moya to turn himself in at his office Wednesday, but the U.S. Marshals got to him first and made the arrest.
Marshals said they showed up to Moya's mother's home on Buckeye and Raul Moya was there. They said he hugged his mom, kissed his sister and said he had to go.
The U.S. Marshals handed Raul Moya over to Perrysburg Township Police Wednesday afternoon.
Raul Moya was arraigned in Perrysburg Municipal Court Wednesday afternoon. He has been charged with obstructing business and is being held on $105,000 bond. He joins his brother Jose Moya in the Wood County Jail. Raul Moya is due back in court Aug. 2.
Perrysburg Township Police have charged Jose Moya with murder. He made his first court appearance Wednesday morning. His bond was set at $545,000 and he is due back in court Aug. 2.
Officers from Perrysburg Township said people living in the neighborhood had been living in fear.
Perrysburg Township Police named Jose Moya a suspect just hours after the homicide of Leandra Frankum, 21, who was shot and killed on Broad Street in Perrysburg Township around 1:20 a.m. Sunday. Police say Raul Moya helped his brother Jose get away.
Jose Moya is believed to have been Frankum's on and off again boyfriend. He turned himself in to authorities Tuesday afternoon, after being advised by his attorney.
