
PERRYSBURG, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - Leandra Frankum's family says they are trying to support each other and stay strong for her 6-month-old daughter while planning a funeral service to honor her.
The Perrysburg Township mother was shot to death last weekend. The man accused is on-again-off-again boyfriend, according to the family.
Frankum's family is asking for help to pay funeral expenses. There's a benefit on Saturday, July 28 at the Perrysburg Heights Community Center from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults to attend and $5 for kids ages 10 and under.
The funeral service is planned for Monday. Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. Sunday, July 29 and 2-9 p.m. on Monday in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, Perrysburg where the rosary will be recited Monday evening at 7 p.m. Prayers will begin in the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg. Burial will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park.
A benefit fund has also been set up for Frankum's 6-month-old daughter. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at any Key Bank location. The fund is under the name Michael W. McCrory.
