BOWLING GREEN, OH (Toledo News Now) -

A Bowling Green man says he is devastated after someone stole an antique sign from the back yard of his home.

Daryl DeWalt, who lives on Knollwood Dr. in Bowling Green, says the sign has been in his family since the 1950's and dates back to when Bowling Green first got electricity. The sign has a caption that says "Wholesale Tobacco and Cigars" and is worth between $400 and $500.

DeWalt says the sign was visible from the street and he often received complements on it.

"Eventually I think somebody really liked it because when I got out of the hospital I got out here on the deck and the first thing I notice is the sign is gone," said DeWalt.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that helps Bowling Green Police with the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Bowling Green Police at 419-352-2571.
