TOLEDO, OH (Toledo News Now) - A man was shot in east Toledo early Wednesday.

It happened around 2:15 a.m. near the intersection of Platt and Sixth.

Neighbors said they found Jarrett Livingston, 28, bleeding in the street and called 911. They said he lives a block away from where the shooting took place.

Livingston and another man were at a neighborhood bar and left to get cigarettes, according to police. When they were returning, the men were attacked and robbed by three other men. Livingston was shot in the stomach.

First responders said he did not have a pulse when they arrived. Livingston was rushed to the hospital to have emergency surgery. He is listed in critical condition.

Police took people in for questioning and made some arrests, but it is unclear at this time if those arrests were connected to this shooting. Police said they don't have any suspects but will know more once they're able to talk to Livingston in the hospital.

According to a neighbor who lives near the bar, this is not the first incident they have had in the area.

"I don't even know how to describe it. It happens so often now, it's almost like you come out and you're like, 'Oh ya know. Here we go again. Let's go down to the corner and see what's going on,'" said Tammy Futrell.
