WOOD COUNTY, OHIO (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - A Rossford man police say stripped naked and started chasing a woman after crashing his truck is due in court Monday.
Police arrested 45-year-old Anthony Parrish Friday night over a crash that happened on March 28. Police say he was driving a pickup truck at a high rate of speed on Oak Street in Rossford. His vehicle struck a curb and his truck flew into two buildings, one a house and the other a business with an apartment above it.
After the crash, witnesses reported Parrish exiting the vehicle, stripping down naked and running after a woman who was walking in the area. He was tackled by two bystanders; one a former Marine who lives in the neighborhood and the other was a man who was driving by with his teenage son.
Charges were filed in Perrysburg Municipal Court by Rossford police. Parrish is being held in the Wood County jail awaiting arraignment.
Rossford Police Chief Glenn Goss said the delay in charges was due to Parrish being transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Detective Sergeant Todd Kitzler reported that the damage to both buildings was estimated well over $125,000.00.
