PERRYSBURG, OH (Toledo News Now) - After Perrysburg City Council decided they wanted more information on all the potential transportation providers instead of approving a recommendation for MV Transit, the top four companies have been invited to give a so called "sales pitch" next week.
"We're going to have a series of questions that the committee is going to ask, they're all going to have a chance to kind of air their statement, air their case of, here's why we should be your provider," said Councilman Todd Grayson.
Black and White, MV Transit, Ride Right and Lefluer are the top four companies that could take over in TARTA's absence.
Councilman Grayson is the chair of the committee making the recommendation to council. Grayson admits he was disappointed the original recommendation was not approved but after next Thursday's meeting, he is confident the next one will be.
The public meeting will take place on Thursday August 16 at 3 p.m. in council chambers. After the presentations, the committee will have their recommendation and council should vote on it at their next meeting on August 21.
