(Toledo News Now) - Whitmer High School graduate and University of Michigan freshmen football player Chris Wormley has been injured and will redshirt his freshmen year.

Wormley underwent tests Tuesday to confirm that he has a torn anterior cruciate ligament, or ACL.  The former all-Ohio defensive will now sit out the 2012 season, but retain 4 years of NCAA athletic eligibility.
