Sandusky Register: Coast Guard rescues 6 near Catawba Island

SANDUSKY, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - The U.S. Coast Guard has rescued six people from a sinking boat, the Sandusky Register reports.

An emergency crew responded in Lake Erie Tuesday morning about 2 miles northeast of Catawaba Island.

When rescuers showed up, the people on board were using buckets to try and bail water out of the 30-foot boat.

No one was hurt.
