Delta, OH family says dog alerted them of fire - ToledoNewsNow.com: News, Weather & Sports for Toledo, OH

DELTA, OH (TOLEDO NEWS NOW) - A Delta family credits their dog for letting them know the house was on fire.

They were awakened around 12:30 a.m. Friday in their home on the 700 block of Palmwood. Family members say it was the dog's erratic behavior that alerted them of the fire, which allowed them to all get out safely.

Flames were coming out of the roof when fire crews pulled up to the scene. Firefighters were able to quickly get things under control.

The cause of the fire has not yet been released.

The family is now staying with relatives.
